Seriously, thanks so much for taking the time to chew on this a little bit. (I really did feel rusty). I'm glad that I'm not the only one that felt very strongly about that scene right after she was shot. Not showing them connecting in some way at that moment was a real injustice - and it just felt wrong.

And Cam has turned into one of my favorite characters this season, with this ep cementing that. If anyone can ever point out the obvious to Booth - it will be Cam.

And the title ... Throughout writing this - and while watching the ep - I felt like Booth was having to absorb or "swallow" a lot of pain for a lot of things, both in the present and in the past. I'm thrilled beyond belief that the title works.
