Very interesting responses ... Also, was our sweet labsquint one of the questioners? If so then you go girl. Way to put Mr Hanson on the defensive about his science.
God, I read this interview last night, half asleep and it just confused the holy hell outta me. I agree with Jen that some of his answer were just totally non-impressive. (Basically the ones regarding characterization that we can ALL see has had issues this past season)
But this: Q. What does the title of the last episode (The End in the Beginning) mean? What significance does it have? (Hannah; also Leanne) A. It’s a very, very literal title. That’s all I have to say about it. It was inspired by John Milton’s line: “The childhood shows the man, As morning shows the day.”
This moves me back towards the future!real!sex theory (which I've come to prefer), when I thought a few weeks ago he basically denied that and said it was a meld of His "dream"/Her story. I hate being jerked around and with that one little answer, he's totally pulled me off balance again. Hates.
I know!!! What is he like - I totally sat and analysed that as a metaphor and was like.. BUT??? Surely that means Spacey et al are right?? God he's a mind fuck!
Mainly I was all of a squee that Top Gear is his fav programme at the mo.. they have a bit where they get stars to come on and drive this car to see who gets the quickest lap time (Stephen Fry has done it) and I was like, 'Tell DB to get over here at get on Top Gear!' God I am lame and shallow :)
No it's a motoring programme presented by three noobs all about cars and stuff and they just have that one bit with a celeb each week. Here is website. It's really a great fun show.. specially for a petrol head like me ;)
I was ready to move on, and then Bam! Future!Real!Sex again.
Something else he said (too lazy to quote) along the lines of "I know how I want these characters to end up but I can't say or it will give it away, blah, blah, blah" made me think the same thing.
Like we're going to circle back to this at the end. Argh!
