What Hooked You on Your Ships?

Just curious to see what folks out there pinpoint as the episode or the moment or even the fic that hooked you on a particular pairing.  

Someone commented recently at ff.net about an ancient JAG story I wrote and it got me thinking about when I became a diehard Harm/Mac shipper - it was after reading a really great fic.  

So I was wondering what got everyone on the Booth/Brennan bandwagon.  Was it a particular ep?  For me it was watching the first episode the summer after Season 1.  Something about that ep, after I had watched bits and pieces during that first season, hooked me on the show and on the ship.  

For Harry Potter, I never cared at all about the relationships until I read the entries in the

dgficexchange

 

I was hooked on Jack/Elizabeth from the first ten minutes of the Pirates of the Carribean franchise.  

Anyway, enough of my ramblings.  I'm really curious to read other's responses.  Particularly about Booth/Brennan, but I'd love to hear about what turned on the light for other ships as well.

I think I had a very similar experience to you - I remember catching bit and pieces of eps on Sky over here and thinking, oh.. David Boreanaz, should check this out properly... but finally managing to see the start of Season 2 - I was intrigued by the whole thing with Brennan visiting her mum's grave and I remember being hooked to the ship with the bit at the end where she holds the dolphin Max has left, and says it is beautiful and Booth is all 'Yeah' - clearly so not looking at the little silver fish thing.. ;)

I bought both box sets as soon as I could. And the rest *le sigh* is history :)

Oh yeah, the box set did it for me for sure. I only saw about half of S1, mostly the summer after during re-runs, and started cruising around the net for fics right before S2. Then I got the S1 box set and my obsession began.

Hee :) I think I devoured the entire first season in three days as soon as I owned the box set. I realised that I didn't really explain what drew me to BB - then Lerdo wrote it so well! :)
