What Hooked You on Your Ships?
Just curious to see what folks out there pinpoint as the episode or the moment or even the fic that hooked you on a particular pairing.
Someone commented recently at ff.net about an ancient JAG story I wrote and it got me thinking about when I became a diehard Harm/Mac shipper - it was after reading a really great fic.
So I was wondering what got everyone on the Booth/Brennan bandwagon. Was it a particular ep? For me it was watching the first episode the summer after Season 1. Something about that ep, after I had watched bits and pieces during that first season, hooked me on the show and on the ship.
For Harry Potter, I never cared at all about the relationships until I read the entries in the

I was hooked on Jack/Elizabeth from the first ten minutes of the Pirates of the Carribean franchise.
Anyway, enough of my ramblings. I'm really curious to read other's responses. Particularly about Booth/Brennan, but I'd love to hear about what turned on the light for other ships as well.

Well, Lerdo's comment here states really well what I like about Booth & Brennan - they have this push/pull chemistry thing going that is so cool to watch, and they have such a huge amount of respect for each other. Their bantering is just so fun, and you can tell they really care about each other.
I'm not really sure when I got hooked onto B/B, but it was probably about from the time I started watching Bones. I had watched probably bits and pieces of episodes from the first season, and a couple episodes of the second season before I really got hooked. Somewhere in the middle of second season I started watching Bones regularly, but I still can't pinpoint the exact episode/date no matter how hard I try ;)
Another factor in my addiction? Probably all the lovely fanfic I've found that make the characters even more real.
{Gilmore Girls, Luke/Lorelai}
I was also a latecomer to Gilmore Girls, and I did not start watching it weekly until it was in its 6th season, at which point Luke and Lorelai were already a couple. But of course, I devoured the seasons on DVD, and I would have been rooting for them all along anyways. I think there's a similar attraction with Luke/Lorelai as with Booth/Brennan, in Luke and Lorelai have the bickering/bantering thing going for them too, as well as being fairly different in personalities (ex. Luke's more quiet and Lorelai's extremely outgoing).
I guess part of it's just that I'm a sucker for romance, and I really like the 'opposites attract' type of thing :)
