New TV Show Rec

For any of you wondering if there was something new worth watching this fall, let me recommend 'Fringe' on FOX.  Created by J.J. Abrams ('Lost'), it was a little out there.  But what it may have lacked in believability it made up for with Joshua Jackson.  I'd forgotten how much I loved him.    Something about the sarcastic gravel of his voice gets me every time.  I can't say enough about him.  It's a bonus that I really liked the show.  Reminds me a lot of 'X Files' but is pseudoscience instead of aliens.  Highly encourage everyone to give it a chance.

Anyone else watch?  Any other Josh Jackson fans out there?  (I confess, I saw every single episode of 'Dawson's Creek' and he was the reason.)

Addendum to the Ships Meme:  Pacey/Joey.  Die-hard fan of that pairing from day one until the very last ep.  Thankfully I was rewarded by the writers.  Too bad I can't stand Katie Holmes now.

I watched DC every now and again, but I never followed it seriously. Fringe, on the other hand, sounds awesome. I've got it downloaded because I forgot to DVR it the night it aired. Now I just have to watch it. Hearing that you enjoyed it makes me even more intrigued! And JJ does have a certain appeal. ;)

I missed the Fringe premiere cause I had homework, but they're replaying the it tomorrow on TV and I fully have plans to watch it! Glad to hear it's worth checking out! :)

I watched it when the Pilot leaked onto the internet a couple of months ago and loved it. I know a lot of people harp on the "unbelievable" aspects, but I never really understood why what happens on TV has to be able to happen in real life.

Never watched Dawson's when it was on, but J-Jackson did deliver quite well I thought. The chemistry between him and his father works really well.

I think the biggest thing the show has going for it is that JJ Abrams has come out and stated that each episode is going to be self-contained (for the most part, anyway). I love me some Lost, but it is so hard to convince people to watch the show!

Sunday Recast

Anna and Josh will host the recast of the pilot on Sunday. Tune in. Yayeee!

I saw it and thought it showed quite a lot of promise. I like what JJ Abrams has done in the past, so that was my main reason for tuning in, but it's also got a little of that X-Files vibe and you just can't go wrong with that. It will be interesting to see where it goes.

I think it's official now...all I watch is FOX! Bones, House and now Fringe...well except for Battlestar Galactica (on Space here in Canada), everything I watch is on FOX. They're getting good bang from their buck out of me!

Hey, just wanted to chime in again now that I've actually caught up on Fringe; I really liked it! The pseudo-science stuff is fun and interesting, and Walter/Peter's relationship is nice and complicated. But now I'm going to go nuts wondering what he Walter meant when he made that comment about Peter's medical history... *g*
