Hm. When I read this before my last meeting I was all OMG OMG OMG \o/ THEORY FTW! But... during my meeting (unbeknownst to the other meeting participants) I was thinking about the theory and now I'm kind of... not sure.
First, while my initial thought is that it would make for delicious UST, because WE know where it's all heading... On the other hand... it kind of takes some of the fun out of it... 'cause now we've seen the end destination... do we need to stay to watch the journey??? I'm not saying that I would feel that way... but I bet that some people would feel that it takes the fun out of Will They/Won't They.
My other thing is that we were told that the sex would be something that they couldn't walk away from, would have serious ramifications for them... how does Future!(Real)!Sex (TM Space) do that? I mean... how will us knowing that they eventually do the deed affect THEM right now.
Finally... Emily interviewed that there would be a kind of big cliffhangery ending that had to do with their relationship. How cliffhangery can it be if we know that they will eventually be together regardless of what kind of shenanigans go on in the meantime?
And then my meeting ending and I raced back here to talk about this... because, as usual, I'm failing to keep my mind on work and off of Bones speculation. MAN... my productivity at work is going to go THROUGH THE ROOF starting May 18th. LOL.
After reading everyone's comments, I think that there are some holes in this theory although it does seem to jive with almost every spoiler.
Biggest 'hmmm' for me: how do we know this is Future!(Real)!Sex and not some wonky drug-induced hallucination?
Does Booth know this is some sort of glimpse into the future and that's how the UST gets cranked up? Because he knows the inevitable now? But she's still clueless?
(notice the overuse of question marks - I'm clearly befuddled)
