What I Want From Season 5 ...

(There may be spoilers but probably just speculation).


♥ More Cam as Shipper Number One - Her little nudges - particularly to Booth - are always my favorite scenes.

♥ Jealous!Brennan - what can I say, I would love to see Booth go out on a hot date or two and Brennan be the one all wigged out and jealous. (but not with Perotta. I actually like her and I want someone we can all righteously dislike).

♥ Intense!Booth - DB was made to play moody and dark. It's in his DNA or something. The man can f'ing act and intense and/or emotional scenes would play to his strength more than the goof!Booth scenes we were subjected to this past year.

♥ Hodgins and Angela having to figure things out over time - The demise of that relationship was too quick and very bizarre. I'd like for them to actually act like a real couple and not just in one episode get back together and everything be perfect.

♥ Resolution for Zack - I can't go through another season thinking about him in that facility when he's innocent, and I'd like to see that storyline explored.

And more than anything, I'd love for an episode or storyline arc to grab me and compel me to start writing again. What we were given last season just left me uninspired.

Oh ITA with all of this!!! And so true re: Cam. I love how she is a good friend for Booth and has CLEARLY worked out everything that is going on (or not) between him and Brennan and how much he cares for her. I adore their scenes!

I'm serious though. I really do want a storyline or emotional arc to inspire this season. Even if we have to step back to the unresolved UST of Seasons 1 and 2, I'd be happy. Season 3 was a total wash, and Season 4 was such a letdown at the end that I just couldn't write.

You're so very welcome - you know I love your writing! And ITA re: S3 & 4. I can pick out about 3 episodes of each that I can say I truly love and would watch again. The rest are on a sliding scale of meh to OMG!NO ;)

This is the kind of thing that really makes an episode for me, just like goof!Booth will really ruin it for me. Your lips to HHs ears!! :D

I know, right? DB really is a great actor - if he's not trying to be funny. I think in real life he's probably a pretty funny guy but when it comes to acting he needs to stick with what he does best - frown intently and clench his jaw. :)

And I loved most of what britt pointed out as well (maybe not so much the Sweets part... still hesitant with him)... but I never got around to responding to her post. *sigh*

But BOTH of your posts have struck this chord in me: in wishing we could get some sort of character a la Howard Epps. That arc was amazing - just the interesting character, the tension it caused, the continuity it brought about over three eps (*gasp*). I'd love to see something like that again. :)

Oh yeah, nothing beats a Brennan-obsessed serial killer.

I personally don't think we've heard the last of the Gravedigger. I really think she had an accomplice, or she was the accomplice. I would love to see this explored in S5.

If they are struggling with their mind-meld thingy, then the addition of a Gravedigger-type case into that could really up the intensity.

We can only dream...
