How Did You Survive the Strike?

I'm amazed that as a culture, we often define ourselves by our forms of entertainment. Music, books, television, movies, etc. Although I try to not let myself become sucked into that vortex - it happens. And I confess to being more than a little depressed about the lack of my favorite shows this spring, due to the WGA strike. (Support the strike in theory but missing out on my faves was a drag).
So... I'm curious to know, now that we are on the cusp of new eps of our favorite shows and new release dates for movies we were anticipating, how did everyone pass the time you normally would have spent watching tv or movies?
I rediscovered music that I had forgotten about, I watched an entire series ('Angel') in re-runs thanks to the magic of dvr, started a book club, and discovered a fandom for Jack Sparrow/Elizabeth Swann fics that I love. Oh, and I started a LJ account, just in case there is someone out there that gives a rat's ass when I start to ramble on about nothing *grins*.
Really can't wait to hear what everyone else did!

Date: 2008-03-23 11:48 pm (UTC)I am definitely going to have to re-watch all of season 3(or at least a couple of the episodes) in preparation for new eps :D
I'll be SO glad when we have our Bones back! :)
I'm really excited though to see where they're going to go with the baby storyline, and I'm really hoping to see Angela finding out about the mistletoe kiss, but I'm afraid that part might be cut out because of other stuff that needs to be shown...I guess we'll find out fairly soon! :D
