First Lines Meme

I'm embarrassed there aren't more first lines but I've been sadly fic-deficient lately.  Random notes on my hard drive didn't help with this unfortunately.  But it was fun to do anyway. :)

1.  "So she was pissed you didn't stop Zack from going to Iraq?" (The Center Will Hold)

2.  The sun was pounding into her head with the force of a jackhammer. (Breath)

3. 'They appear to be in good moods this morning' (Circle of Trust)

4. Letting the too hot water pound his back, Seeley Booth stretched his muscles under the spray and muttered a curse. (Home for Me)



Okay, so there were only a measly four.  Not enough to really determine a pattern, but I think the tone of each first line fit with the overall theme of  the story. 

**Fingers crossed this season brings inspiration.**

Ah yes ... number 4. I had almost forgotten how hot he was in that opening scene. Another good reason to revisit old fics, right?
