Guilty Pleasure TV

I know we all watch Bones, and several of us watch Fringe, but what's your guilty pleasure show? Mine would have to be the new 90210 - it's like reliving your youth, only with better hair.
(Have to watch something until November ...)

Date: 2008-10-14 08:55 am (UTC)Secondly... hmmmm... let me think. I feel like I haven't watched much telly at all lately. Sometimes I feel like Bones IS my guilty pleasure TV... no-one I know, besides my sister, in RL seems to know it exists!!
I have started watching Fringe too. We have seen up to ep 2 over here, but I have that one on my Sky+ box ready to watch so no spoilers! I did enjoy the pilot.
DH and I are watching The Wire season 1. We bought the box set off
Still wracking my brains... I feel like catching the odd ep of Buffy or Angel on SciFi is quite a guilty pleasure. I've been doing that quite alot lately.
There is so not much on at the moment here. Oh - talking of reality TV though, which you did on another comment I think, I'm currently hooked on Strictly Come Dancing which is our version of Dancing With The Stars. I adore the dances and the pretty dresses - I think I relive my childhood through it or something! So that's quite a guilty pleasure at the mo.
ETA: LOL at the new 90210 and re-living your youth but with better hair. I remember watching the original show with my sister - we were kind of awe-struck by the shiny Americaness I think :)

Date: 2008-10-14 09:25 pm (UTC)Glad you're getting to watch Fringe - let me know when you get through a few eps and we'll squee over Josh Jackson.
Don't worry - here in America we were all awe-struck by the kids from Beverly Hills back then too. 90210 was pretty far removed from the Southeastern US.

(It's sad how much I like that show. So cheesy but so fun. Never wanted the British version though - it's not as good without the crazy-ass Tyra-ness.)

Date: 2008-10-14 12:05 pm (UTC)BTW, if you're searching for interesting shows, I have several recs for you:
The Wire (This show is finished, but absolutely worth watching. I cannot pimp this show enough. So. Damn. Good!)
Six Feet Under (This show is finished, but still worth watching.)
Battlestar Galactica (2003) (The last season or half-season will begin airing in the spring.)

Date: 2008-10-14 09:33 pm (UTC)GH used to fit the bill for me too - in undergrad we watched every day to see who Brenda chose, Jax or Sonny.
Then we moved on to Dawson's Creek - I confess to still watching re-runs occasionally :)
