Twilight Series ...

I know this came up several months ago but what are ya'll's opinions ("ya'll" is a word, let's get that out of the way) on the 'Twilight' series, by Stephanie Meyer?  I read the first book yesterday (yes, in 4 hours) and I'm not sure I want to commit to this series.  It was good, and obviously a pretty easy read, but seriously, do I want to get emotionally involved here or not?  I can't seem to make up my mind if I want to make the emotional investment.  Or will there be and emotional investment?  Anyway, I know you gals won't steer me wrong.

My opinion is sort of like britt_1975's on this. I loved the first three books, but I still haven't finished the last one and it came out @ begining of august. I do also recognize that it's utterly ridiculous and it's totally a bunch of angst and stuff, but I think it's the hopeless romantic in me that's so in love with the story.

But also, I've discovered that with me, often my obsessions go in phases, so who knows what I'll love in a month or two... ;)

I think I may not go any further with the series. I just don't think I'll be happy that I spent the time and money on the books at the end. Everyone seems to have been disappointed in the last book.
